Duties
- Install, inspect, and repair sewer lines and ductile iron pipes according to project specifications and safety standards
- Operate specialized equipment for pipe laying, cutting, welding, and fitting to ensure precise assembly
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing piping systems to identify leaks, blockages, or structural issues
- Collaborate with team members to plan efficient workflow sequences for large-scale infrastructure projects
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspection results for compliance purposes
- Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations during excavation, installation, and repair activities
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials in warehouse settings related to piping supplies and fittings
Skills
- Strong knowledge of sewer system construction and ductile iron pipe installation techniques
- Experience operating machinery such as pipe cutters, welding tools, excavators, or trenchers
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, or schematics related to piping layouts
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Warehouse experience is a plus for handling supplies efficiently and maintaining inventory accuracy
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and safety compliance
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes related to pipe fabrication or fitting assembly
