Description
This course is designed to reinforce and develop fluency, accuracy of expression and style through an action-oriented approach to language teaching and learning. Students will improve their communicative language competencies (listening, reading, speaking and writing) by engaging in task-based activities in real-world, contextual situations. By the end of FREB
01H3 and FREB
02H3, students will have completed the level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference.

Salary
In accordance with the current CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement, the stipend rate for a half course (Y, F or S), inclusive of vacation pay, will be:
- Sessional Lecturer I: $9,997.47
- Sessional Lecturer I – Long Term: $10,699.21
- Sessional Lecturer II: $10,699.21
- Sessional Lecturer II – Long Term: $10,953.96
- Sessional Lecturer III: $10,953.95
- Sessional Lecturer III – Long Term: $11,228.90
Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

Minimum Qualifications
Ph.
D. in French or a related area of study. Excellent knowledge and understanding of the subject matter gained through previous involvement with the course or its equivalent; excellent communication skills in French (native or near-native level). Strong academic record and professional promise.
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience an asset. Preference will be given to those who have taught FREB
01H3 or equivalent.
Duties
All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours.
