Description
School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures invites applications for a German Sessional Instructor to teach the following courses in Fall 2026 (Aug 24, 2025‑Dec 24, 2026).
Course of Instruction
- GERM 202 (LEC 05/LEC 06) – German I: LEC 05 – M – 15:00‑15:50 (Online Synchronous), W – 15:00‑15:50 (In person); LEC 06 – M – 15:00‑15:50 (Online Synchronous), F – 15:00‑15:50 (In person)
- GERM 317 (LEC 01), Topic 1 – Topics in German Culture History (German Icons): TR 12:30‑13:45 (In person)
Responsibilities
Teach the specified courses during the Fall 2026 term.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or a doctoral candidacy expected by the beginning of term
- Native or near‑native proficiency in the language of instruction and English
- Experience teaching undergraduate courses at a university level
- Doctoral candidates must have successfully completed their candidacy exams prior to the beginning of the term and have discussed their application with their supervisor, including a letter of support if required

B. As per the Collective Agreement, the Faculty of Arts adheres to the right of first refusal terms (Section 23.12.1 and 23.12.2) for Sessional Appointments.
