Service Technician Jobs in West Plains, MO at Pruett’s Pool and Spa
This is considered a full-time position but with seasonal variations from 30 to 40+ hours per week.
General Responsibilities
- Plan and stock service trucks daily with all parts and supplies for efficient and complete conduct of the work based upon the day’s assigned tasks.
- Open and close swimming pools and hot tubs.
- Diagnose and repair hot tubs, swimming pools, and related equipment (pumps, heaters, filters, automation systems).
- Deliver and install pool/spa parts and accessories.
- Perform regular maintenance and cleaning procedures for pools and spas.
- Conduct water testing and chemical addition as necessary.
- Conduct on-site inspections and troubleshoot customer issues.
- Educate customers on equipment operation and basic care as the onsite contact this is required for each job.
- Maintain accurate and detailed service records and reports utilizing the company’s online application. Knowledge of technology and utilization of such is required.
- Must be presentable and dressed appropriately for the work performed.
- Must be dependable and reliable to fulfil the requirements of the position.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude. Experience and/or training in mechanical, plumbing, or electrical is preferred.
- Experience and knowledge in use of hand tools and power tools.
- Must posses basic hand tools which can be acquired after training.
- Use of measuring devices such as tape measures and levels.
- Knowledge of safe working practices.
- Must be able to use a tablet for communicating both internally and with customers, researching customer addresses, web searching for problem solving in the field and documenting work performed.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions (including extreme heat, cold, and wet environments).
- Possess problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills as customer communication is required.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and possess transportation to drive to and from work.
- Must be 21 + years of age to fulfill insurance qualifications.

Pay: $17.00 – $22.00 per hour
