Overview
Young’s Appliance Sales & Service is seeking a dependable, punctual, and customer-focused Appliance Repair Technician to join our team. Experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right individual who has strong mechanical aptitude, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
This position includes both in-home service calls and in-shop repair work. After completing scheduled service calls, technicians are expected to return to the shop to diagnose and repair customer appliances, assist with inventory organization, and help maintain an efficient workflow. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates professionally with customers, and represents our company with integrity.
Duties

- Refrigerators
- Freezers
- Dishwashers
- Ranges, ovens, and cooktops
- Ice machines
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and work area.
- Perform in home service calls while providing excellent customer service.
- Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic appliance failures.
- Read wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical documentation.
- Test electrical components using multimeters, clamp meters, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Complete detailed service tickets, repair notes, and parts documentation.
- Return to the shop after service calls to help diagnose and repair customer units awaiting service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Communicate repair recommendations and estimated completion times with customers and office staff.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving appliances as needed.
- Participate in ongoing manufacturer and company training.
Requirements
- Appliance repair experience preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Experience using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and amp clamps preferred.
- Basic understanding of refrigeration systems is a plus.
- EPA Certification is a plus but not required.
- HVAC or commercial appliance experience is beneficial but not required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to safely lift and move appliances weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance when necessary.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Pay: $15.00 – $25.00 per hour
