Grassland Equipment & Irrigation Corporation, a regional outdoor power and turf equipment distributor Since 1961, is seeking a full-time Technician to join our growing Service department. This team member would have a dedicated bay our heated and cooled Latham NY Location. Salary commensurate with experience, as well as an additional monthly production bonus, which equates to on average an additional $20,000 annually.
Candidate must complete pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, electronic, and mechanical issues on consumer and commercial lawn equipment
· Diagnosing and repairing diesel- and gas-powered motors
· Preparing accurate estimates for parts and labor
· Sharpening bed knives, reels, and blades
· Understanding of electrical and hydraulic schematics
· Welding when necessary
· Assembly of equipment upon arrival of a customer order to
· Working computer knowledge for Manufacturer trainings, as well as, part look up for work orders
Knowledge, Skill, Abilities, and traits:
· Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
· A positive attitude and strong mechanical knowledge
· Energetic, self-starter, -ability to work independently
· Detail oriented
· Punctual and dependable
· Aaccuracy and follow through
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Knowledge of schematics for electrical and hydraulic systems
· Computer literate
