Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair solar power systems, including high voltage and low voltage components, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to identify issues and plan repairs efficiently.
- Perform fixture installation, wiring, and troubleshooting on roof-mounted solar arrays and associated electrical infrastructure.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment to carry out system repairs and installations accurately.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards for safety and compliance.
- Assist with construction site activities related to solar projects, including coordination with other trades such as roofing and plumbing.
- Operate forklifts and other construction equipment safely on-site to facilitate material handling and installation tasks.
- Document repair activities thoroughly, update maintenance logs, and communicate progress effectively with team members.
Skills
- Must have experience:
- troubleshooting and repairing ground faults
- taking IR images
- changing solar panels
- swapping inverters
- using multimeters
- conducting PMIs
- previous work on string and central inverters a plus
Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour
