The Organization:
Global experts in engineered mechanical power transmissions across many industries: defense, oil and gas, rail, cement and more. Support all aspect of new gearbox investment i.e. new plans, expansions, new project, spare gear units. They are looking for a Service Technician.
Position:Service Technician
Language: English Required. French (asset)
Location: Montreal
Job Description for Service Technician
Provide maintenance, repairs, replacement of parts, machines.
Perform in house inspections, analysis and repairs
Teardown gearboxes
Work on precision assemblies and sub-assembly
Fitting and adjusting in order to meet operating requirements
Cleaning of gear units and parts
Assemble and manufacture lube system
Prepare gear units for shipppers
Coordinate stock (bolts, seals, shims…) Bring forward quality issues to management
Maintain and complete inspection reports
Follow health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications for Service Technician:
5 year’s experience in similar role, working with heavy machinery such as cranes, lift trucks, fork lifts, etc
Ability to read drawings and blue prints
Customer service experience and team work
Strong knowledge of precision fitting/assembly repair work
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Good manual dexterity, resourcefulness and good ability to concentrate
Record time spent on each job
Record/maintain quality form per ISO procedure in place
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
