Server & Server Assistant at Japanese Restaurant Jobs in Calgary at Sukiyaki House (Calgary) LTD
Sukiyaki House is looking for passionate and motivated servers to join our team. At Sukiyaki House we focus on traditional sushi and Japanese cuisine, done with a modern flair and elegance. Our ideal candidate will be learning the fine details about Japanese cuisine, sake, while providing world-class customer service to our guests.

Some of the job duties, but not limited to:
- cleaning all job stations
- bar preparation and inventory management
- catered suggestions and recommendations to customers
- hosting, takeout orders, phone reservations
- serving customers and anticipating changing needs and requests
- providing world-class customer service and enhancing dining experiences through knowledge and education
Qualifications we are looking for:
- 2-years experience in the industry
- Experience in Japanese cuisine is recommended but not necessary
- knowledge on sake and Japanese food is an asset
- basic serving knowledge and cleanliness
Expectations:
- all servers (even with experience) must start as server assistants to learn all necessary and associated jobs. They include but are not limited to: cleaning, closing, bussing, hosting, takeout.
- servers must excel at all associated server assistant roles and hold a high degree of comprehension of our liquor, sushi, and kitchen menu.
At Sukiyaki House, we strongly focus on a quality product, sourcing quality ingredients and using traditional techniques. Here, you will get the opportunity to learn about sushi, omakase, kaiseki, and the art of Japanese cuisine.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Part-time hours: 10-20 per week
Pay: $15.00-$16.00 per hour
