Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, efficiency in food and beverage service, and the ability to manage multiple tables while maintaining a positive attitude. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are preferred. The Server will play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our guests through attentive service and upselling techniques.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, professional service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Manage multiple tables effectively, ensuring timely delivery of orders and guest satisfaction
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including table setup, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness when necessary
- Assist with food preparation or other kitchen tasks as needed in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Demonstrate excellent guest services skills by addressing guest needs promptly and courteously
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred; restaurant experience is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and order accuracy
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in the hospitality industry
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is beneficial but not required
