Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as needed
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing personalized service
- Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe dining environment
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and food handling procedures
- Experience in guest services, hospitality, or serving roles preferred
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and order accuracy
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of the food industry, including menu offerings and upselling techniques
