Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, possess strong food and beverage knowledge, and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Experience with POS systems, along with a background in fine dining or food service environments, is highly preferred. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and entering tickets using POS systems
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages while maintaining quality standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process credit payments through POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items
- Uphold high standards of guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally
- Support overall restaurant operations during busy periods, including food handling, sanitation, and guest engagement
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality
- Ability to handle multiple tables efficiently with excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling transactions
- Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights; weekend and holiday shifts may be required
- Food industry knowledge including food preparation, serving etiquette, and guest services
