Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and precise entry
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest enjoyment and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Toast POS, Micros POS, and cashiering procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse customer needs gracefully
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume shifts
- Basic math skills for accurate check splitting, cash handling, and transaction processing
- Familiarity with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with reservation platforms like OpenTable and upselling strategies to maximize sales opportunities
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
