As a Senior Staff Component Verification/ Test Development Engineer, you will develop comprehensive test strategies for GaN power devices and integrated circuits and ensure that all tests align with industry standards and product requirements.
In your new role you will:
Execute detailed  test protocols using advanced testing equipment  and methodologies to  assess the performance of GaN components  under various conditions and applications.
Lead component verification processes,  meticulously verifying each component’s specifications and functionalities to ensure they meet stringent quality standards
Troubleshoot and  resolve complex issues within test setups, applying expert problem-solving skills to mitigate risks  and ensure continuity in testing processes
Collaborate closely with R&D teams to refine product specifications based on test outcomes, contributing to the development of innovative GaN solutions
Implement and oversee automated test systems, optimizing testing procedures and reducing manual efforts to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Drive continuous improvement in  testing processes and methodologies, staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in GaN testing
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all test protocols and results, ensuring clear communication and compliance with industry regulations
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
Master’s degree or PhD in  Power Electronics or a related field , demonstrating a strong academic background and a deep understanding of power electronics principles
Proven experience in  component-level R&D and verifications specifically for GaN technology,  ensuring a thorough familiarity with GaN device characteristics and applications
Expertise in  creating detailed test protocols and validation plans,  capable of designing robust testing frameworks that meet both regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks
Broad knowledge of  power devices, drivers, controllers, and sensors, understanding their interactions and dependencies within GaN systems
Experience in automated testing systems, enhancing testing efficiency and consistency through automation
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership in a high-pressure environment and collaborating effectively with diverse groups
Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts and test results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
