Responsibilities

Work closely with a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and support staff

Monitor IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and other critical components

Configure storage systems, including Storage Area Networks (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), and direct-attached storage

Support virtualized environments, Active Directory, Exchange Server, regular backups and SQLRespond to and resolve escalated IT issues and incidents, coordinating with team members and other departments as needed

Implement incident management best practices to minimize service disruptions and downtime

Coordinate and oversee changes to IT systems, ensuring proper planning, testing, and documentation

Implement

change management

processes to minimize risks associated with system modifications

Support planning for future IT infrastructure needs based on business growth and technology trends

Ensure that systems have sufficient capacity to handle current and future demands

Develop relationships with IT vendors, ensuring that service agreements and contracts are adhered to Evaluate and recommend new technologies or services that may benefit the organization

Administer day-to-day operations of the data center, FM200 fire suppression system, cooling system, environmental system (AVTech room alert), including server hardware, networking equipment, and storage systems

Ensure the availability, performance, Riello multi power modular ups and reliability of data center infrastructure

Monitor and optimize power and cooling systems (Liebert Vertiv) to maintain an optimal operating environment for IT equipment

Keep

up-to-date

with advancements in storage technologies, industry best practices, and emerging trends Skills and Experience At least 8 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex server and storage  knowledge of the Windows Server family, VMware vSphere and iSCSI and NFS Storage Array’sStrong understanding of iSCSI and NFS protocols as it relates to VMware environments

Experience with

Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policies Knowledge of change and release practices for infrastructure delivery and support and implementing

continuous improvement
