Take a leadership role in Alberta’s rangelands with the position of Rangeland Team Lead at the Ministry of Forestry and Parks. Shape key conservation and stewardship programs while managing diverse teams.
This full-time role requires a strong commitment to the development and delivery of regional programs, including Rangeland Management and Forest Reserve initiatives. You will partner with the Lands Manager in this senior position, leading evaluations, facilitating conversations, and guiding staff in achieving program goals while adhering to regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Defend rangeland program decisions and actions
• Integrate forest and environmental practices in program approvals
• Liaise with stakeholders regarding Provincial Grazing Reserves
• Develop and approve rangeland management plans
• Oversee compliance monitoring for disposition holders
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Agriculture or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years in regulatory management roles
• Must be a registered or in-training Professional Agrologist
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with good driving history
• Intermediate First Aid certification with CPR
