Leverage Tek is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager for a 12-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer. Work Location The successful candidate will be required to work on-site at the customer headquarters in Ottawa, ON, on a hybrid basis. Key Tasks Managing all aspects of initiative/project execution on a day-to-day basis
Identify and assemble the project team (if required) and provide
leadership
and oversight over their activities to achieve project deliverables
Leads and motivates the project team (or business SMEs) to develop the project plan and produce realistic estimates against which progress is monitored and promotes
collaboration
Maintain quality standards and requirements, manage the budget, analyze risks and issues, and ensure continuous
communication
and reporting among multi-disciplinary stakeholders and executive steering committee as required
Data analysis, preparing/writing complex project documents and reports, and will involve presentations and/or training
Application of seasoned expertise of risk management to identify, monitor and mitigate substantial risks, with implications beyond the project
Preparing business cases or proposals for large, multi-year projects, which may break new ground
Leverages seasoned experience and knowledge to analyze highly complex problems, interpret business needs, and develop integrated,
innovative solutions
Motivates and coaches team members for high performance and acts with transparency, promoting a
problem-solving
mindset Key Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years managing complex projects with large teams, budgets, and multiple stakeholders at an
executive level
Must have
experience with Business and Operational reviews
Must have
experience with CRM or large type ERP implementations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, science or equivalent
A minimum of 10 years managing complex projects with large teams, budgets, and multiple stakeholders at an
executive level
Completed training in
project management
such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile Scrum Master
Project Management
certification is an asset such as PMP or PRINCE2
Subject matter expertise (SME) relevant to the large IT system implementation
Experience managing new product or process introduction in the regulated environment, is an asset
Experience managing and implementing process change within a unionized workforce environment, is an asset
Experience navigating competing priorities and deadlines on complex or sensitive projects, including developing and maintaining project documents and presenting in an executive setting
Experience in Agile teams is an asset
Proficiency with related software tools including Microsoft project professional, MSPO is an asset
Ability to
build good relationships, to assign, coordinate and manage the project activities of team members
