We’re looking for our next Senior Legal Counsel. Could It Be You?
The
purpose
of the Senior Legal Counsel role within the Legal Department is to enable Questrade Financial Group (QFG) to obtain additional internal legal support for the growing businesses of the organization, and to better manage legal and regulatory risks. In addition, the role will provide the necessary legal support for business transactions and day to day operations to meet corporate objectives.
What’s it like working as a Senior Legal Counsel at Questrade? As Senior Legal Counsel, you will be a strategic legal partner to QFG’s business units, providing expert advice and guidance on complex legal matters to minimize risk and drive business growth.
You will
lead the legal aspects of new product development,
regulatory compliance
, and corporate transactions, while also overseeing day-to-day legal operations and fostering a strong risk management culture.

Serve as the Legal SME in the design, review and implementation of new businesses, products and services, and the introduction of new features for existing products and services. Act as the Legal lead on related projects. Advise internal stakeholders of the legal/regulatory risks for new/changing initiatives and develop strategies in
collaboration
with stakeholders to mitigate or manage those risks
Fulfill requests for interpretation or guidance and provide clear actionable recommendations supported by research and analysis for subject matter/questions referred to the Legal department
