Your OpportunityUnder the supervision of the Assistant Director, Human Resource Services, the incumbent is responsible for providing a range of HR advice and services to client departments, along with support to a team of HR Consultants at the University of Toronto Scarborough. The Senior Human Resources Advisor will ensure the delivery of a comprehensive and unified recruitment program for a wide range of administrative, managerial and technical positions at the UTSC. The incumbent ensures compliance with U of T recruitment policies and practices for both unionized and non-unionized staff for all UTSC recruitment.

In addition to recruitment, the incumbent will provide a wide range of human resource services to client departments which includes: job evaluation, salary administration, interpretation and application of human resource and payroll policies and practices, the interpretation and application of staff policies and collective agreements, training and recognition initiatives, organizational change, and performance management.

Responsibilities will also include advising a dedicated client group on employment-related laws and jurisprudence including the Human Rights Code, the Employment Standards Act, etc., analyzing, evaluating and classifying both unionized and non-unionized positions; providing recruitment advice and assistance to clients; providing general advice and guidance, in consultation with other HR staff in the department, on organizational change and restructuring; and participating in special projects and process re-engineering.

The incumbent will also be involved in outreach initiatives at UTSC working closely with the Assistant Director, HR Services.
