Sharp Trucking Services is a privately-owned transportation and logistics company based in Western Canada. We are looking for a full time Senior Dispatch to join our terminal open Sudbury Ontario.
Duties and responsibilities:
Creating job orders in Axon,
Coordinate activities of staff within the company on duties like dispatching including obtaining permits, driver’s envelopes, and tracking/monitoring loads.
Identifying and troubleshooting the resolution of any operational issues.
Relay changes to trip information, documentation, route and permit information to drivers.
Monitor driver availability and capabilities and schedule drivers appropriately.
Ability to
perform safety functions.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in the transportation industry.
Excellent verbal and written
communication skills
Strong customer service skills including effectively and efficiently responding to inquiries.
Strong time management skills including an ability to work in a
fast-paced environment
, multi-task, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Experience with
Axon would be an asset.
Knowledge of Isaac Electronic Log Device
Bilingual French/English is an asset.
