Role Details
- Work Location – Toronto
- Shift/Hours or Hybrid Environment – three days in office
- Salary – The full base salary range for this position is from $70,650 to 98,125 annually. The starting base salary offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, role complexity, skills, experience, and internal equity.
About This Opportunity
We are looking for a detail-driven Senior Analyst, Total Rewards, who thrives in a hands-on operational role and enjoys seeing the direct impact of their work on employee experiences. In this role, you will support the delivery of total rewards programs with a focus on pension and retirement programs and perform various essential operational and administrative tasks. It offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, and external providers.
This position is located at our downtown Toronto office (minimum 3 days per week in-office) and will support multiple site locations in Canada.
Reporting to the Manager, Pension & Total Rewards Operations, you will play an important role in bringing total rewards programs to life for employees. Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve pension and payroll case escalations in a timely manner.
- Provide technical advice and interpretation to Human Resources and business leaders on pension deductions, contributions and overpayments.
- Conduct weekly and monthly data analysis on interface files and resolve data discrepancies.
- Support the planning and facilitation of pension and retirement savings education sessions in partnership with the Human Resources Business Partners.
- Maintain and update process documentation and identify workflow improvement opportunities.
- Maintain and update total rewards material via the company intranet site.
- Coordinate annual pension activities including statements, regulatory filing, and audits.
- Liaise with the shared services team to ensure accurate reporting of taxable benefits for year-end reporting and payroll processing.
- Support the administration of reward programs and ensure compliance with tax requirements.
- Coordinate invoice payment processing and tracking for total rewards.
- Support employee communication distribution and wellness program initiatives.
- Conduct research and complete data analysis requests to support Labour Relations and collective bargaining needs.
- Ad-hoc tasks and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree/college diploma or equivalent in Human Resources Management or Business Administration.
- 2+ years of relevant HR and/or total rewards experience with emphasis on Canadian pension, retirement, or benefits programs.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement, tact, and discretion.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence when presenting to diverse groups.
