Key ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a new team member to join us as aSenior Accountant. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will assist with supporting our company’s rapid growth. Key responsibilities include:
Oversee cost accounting activities, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation, to support accurate product costing and pricing decisions.
Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team to analyze production costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead the preparation/creation/maintenance of internal reporting and business intelligence function.
Lead the implementation of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems for manufacturing operations, working closely with IT and external consultants to ensure successful deployment and integration with existing systems.
Serve as the key liaison between finance and manufacturing departments during ERP implementation, facilitating communication, training, and change management efforts.
Make recommendations to management regarding cost saving, profit generating opportunities, and continuous improvement of internal processes.
Completing and reviewing monthly account reconciliations.
Assist in completion of month-end close including preparing and posting journal entries; ensuring general ledger accuracy.
Assist in preparation of monthly reporting package.
Supporting the budget/forecasting process.
Supporting compliance/regulatory requirements.
Special projects as assigned.
Ad Hoc Analysis as required, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience
10 years of experience, minimum 3-5 in manufacturing/light industrial.
3 years of Inventory/Cost Accounting or related experience.
ERP implementation experience/ERP Super-User.
Strong ERP background (preference for Microsoft NAV & Oracle experience).
Experience with BI reporting tools (preference for Power BI, Jet Analytics).
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Economics.
CPA Designation preferred.
Canadian/US payroll experience is a plus.
