Seed Shed Technician Jobs in Hope, KS at Agri Trails Coop
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for handling, conditioning, treating and loading of seed. This position will perform routine maintenance and housekeeping in the seed shed.
DUTIES:
- Treats corn, soybean and wheat seed during applicable season.
- Operate all seed shed conditioning equipment.
- Load treated seed into hard box or onto trucks for transport.
- Performs all maintenance (routine & preventive) of seed plant equipment.
- Manages inventory and communicates levels regularly to supervisor.
- Operates forklift for warehousing and other activities.
- Completes all tickets, documentation and other paperwork in a timely manner.
- Participates in Seed Department meetings and off site Agronomy educational meetings.
- Maintains a safe working environment.
- Assists customers with purchases and other needs in a respectful, professional manner.
- Maintains a professional and cordial relationship with seed producers.
- Attends safety and job skills training as requested by management.
- Complete safety reports and other required records.
- Performs all other duties assigned by Seed Department/Location Manager.
Required Education and Experience
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- 3 years agriculture/coop experience
- CDL License with acceptable driving record.
*Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Pay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour
