Security & Re‑Entry Compliance Lead

Position Summary

The Security & Re‑Entry Compliance Lead is responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and regulatory compliance of the Community Corrections Center. This role combines security operations, documentation management, re‑entrant supervision, and support for all yearly audits.

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations & Monitoring

  • Observe re‑entrant behavior through one‑on‑one interactions, group settings, and CCTV surveillance.
  • Conduct re‑entrant counts, fire drills, and searches for contraband.
  • Search re‑entrants and their possessions upon return to the center.
  • Conduct training and retraining’s to all security staff.
  • Inspect living quarters and common areas for cleanliness, safety, and compliance with center rules.
  • Control movement within the facility and maintain the sign‑in/out register for re‑entrants and visitors.
  • Respond to and report disturbances to ensure the safety of all individuals on site.
  • Maintain security over prescription medications and conduct regular inventories.
  • Conduct inventories and inspections of all center security equipment.
  • Manages and prints all security documentation for daily, weekly and monthly use.

Compliance, Documentation & Administrative Duties

  • Manage, track, and maintain all security‑related paperwork and scan all monthly compliance documentation.
  • Ensure all security files and records are properly stored, organized, and updated on the facility server.
  • Prepare accurate, concise, and timely reports, including incident reports, misconduct reports, shift logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure all written documentation meets professional standards, is fact‑based, and supports regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in preparing for and supporting annual inspections and audits.
  • Requisition, store, and issue janitorial and housekeeping supplies.
  • Assist Case Managers when needed.

Testing, Reporting & Disciplinary Procedures

  • Administer and document breathalyzer and urinalysis tests for re‑entrants returning from furloughs or as required.
  • Issue misconduct reports for rule violations to all security staff.
  • Report changes in re‑entrant behavior, physical condition, or unusual occurrences to supervisory staff.

Re‑Entrant Support & Orientation

  • Provide orientation to new re‑entrants, issuance of bedding, and explanation of center rules.
  • Assign and oversee completion of housekeeping duties performed by re‑entrants.

Qualifications

  • Experience in security, corrections, law enforcement, or related field preferred.
  • Strong observational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate reports.
  • Proficiency in maintaining organized digital and physical records.
  • Strong scanning abilities.
  • Strong training abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a structured team.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Spanish is a plus.

Pay: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour
