JOB DESCRIPTION
An Automotive Tire Technician is a skilled member of the Tire Department who reports to the Store Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
An Automotive Tire Technician is responsible for performing the following duties:
Perform tire inspections.
Mount and dismount all types of tires on all types of rims.
Uninstall and install rim and tire packages onto Cars, Trucks, Vans and SUVs.
Repair tires when they are safely repairable.
Rotate tires, check and adjust tire pressures, install and set tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
The hours in the Tire Department are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and Saturday from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. This is a full-time, seasonal position with duration of about two months.
REQUIREMENTS
In order to be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
A valid Ontario Driver’s License and a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
Experience in the automotive tire industry
Physically fit and able to lift/carry 50lbs
Good interpersonal and communication skills
