Description
Light duty cleaners clean lobbies, hallways, offices and rooms of hotels as well as wash/refresh hotel linens and terry.
Job duties
Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
Dust furniture
Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
Launder hotel linens and terry
Make beds and change sheets
Distribute clean towels and toiletries
Stock linen closet
Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
Disinfect operating rooms and other areas
Clean and disinfect elevators
Handle and report lost and found items
Attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items
Provide basic information on facilities
Pick up debris and empty trash containers
Wash windows, walls and ceilings
Clean changing rooms and showers
Address customers’ complaints or concerns
Requirements
A minimum of 6 months previous work experience is preferred
Authorization to work in Canada required
Ability to relocate to Carmacks, YT
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing stairs
May include bending, twisting and pulling
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months
Pay: $18.00 per hour
