Job Duties

Paving Personnel for the 2024 Construction Season.
Operates valves to regulate flow of material at a specified rate.
Signals Paving Machine Operator to start and stop paving machine.
Observes distribution of material over road surfaces to ensure uniform distribution.
Turns hand wheels to set angle and depth of screed.
Using depth gauge, verifies depth specifications of compacted asphalt.
Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the paver.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge & Experience 2-3 years’ experience of working in the paving and asphalt industry.
2-3 years’ experience operating paving equipment2-3 years’ experience working on municipal and highways paving projects.
2-3 years’ experience and understanding of paving and paving knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
Maintains a valid Class 5 driver’s license or better.
Own vehicle to get to and from jobsite.
Willing to work overtime, as required.
Must comply with the company’s drug & alcohol program, including testing requirement.

Compensation and Benefits $32.00-$40.00 /hour straight time hourly rate
The position is eligible for overtime. All hours worked in excess of 8 hours per day or 44 hours in a week shall be paid at 1.5 times the straight time rate.
Project work is scheduled for 14/2, 12-hour days, schedule flexible to change (Highways)
