Position Summary
House is Ladders is seeking a dependable, safety-focused, and experienced Scaffold Foreman to lead scaffold and access operations on industrial construction and maintenance projects. The successful candidate will oversee scaffold erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling while coordinating access equipment, manpower, materials, and daily field operations to support safe and efficient project execution.
This position requires a proven leader who can work collaboratively with Operations Leadership, Project Managers, Superintendents, Safety Professionals, and client representatives to deliver safe, high-quality access solutions while meeting project schedules and productivity goals.
Responsibilities
- Supervise scaffold crews and provide day-to-day field leadership.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee scaffold erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling in accordance with OSHA regulations, engineered drawings, manufacturer specifications, and client requirements.
- Coordinate the daily use of access equipment
- Partner with Operations Leadership, Project Management, and Superintendents to plan work, allocate resources, and meet project milestones.
- Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), pre-task planning, toolbox talks, and daily safety meetings.
- Ensure all scaffold systems are inspected, tagged, and maintained by OSHA and company standards.
- Monitor crew productivity, quality, manpower, equipment utilization, and schedule performance.
- Coordinate scaffold materials, equipment logistics, and inventory to maintain uninterrupted project execution.
- Mentor and develop scaffold builders, lead hands, and apprentices while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower logs, production tracking, and project documentation.
- Build strong working relationships with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Safety, and other craft disciplines.
- Must have the ability and willingness to travel as needed to support project requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of industrial scaffolding experience.
- Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or foreman experience.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart L and scaffold safety requirements.
- Experience with system scaffold, tube & clamp, stair towers, suspended scaffold, and temporary access systems.
- Working knowledge of access equipment, including MEWPs, telehandlers, and forklifts.
- Ability to read and interpret scaffold drawings and construction documents.
- Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work safely at heights and in industrial environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30 Construction
- Scaffold Competent Person Certification
- NCCER Scaffold Builder Certification
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Valid Driver’s License
