Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Sales Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will act as a vital bridge between our sales and manufacturing teams as well as our customers to develop drawings and requirements for processing equipment, primarily in the field of poultry processing.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for identifying and specifying project scope, layout and formulating an official quote to customer as directed by the sales management team.

  • Reviews quote requests for adequate information and a clear concise scope of supply / work.
  • Reviews existing and proposed layouts for accuracy. This may require travel to the Customer site (up to 75%) (occasional travel to sites is required UP TO 75%).
  • Works with sales team to develop better process flows and solutions to improve customer processes.
  • Translates approved concept layout into a quote / bid using the CMS Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool, Microsoft business central ERPBusiness Central (BC).
  • Ensures pricing is reviewed / approved to be reviewed by sales team.
  • Archives equipment specifications, drawings and documentation -Specs and archives equipment iin an organized manner to utilize for future proposals.
  • Works with conveyor, equipment and other projects based on a Customer’s needs and application.
  • Processes approved/sold quotes into sales orders and confirms scope with CMS team and customer.
  • Attends handoff and other relevant meetings to ensure project specificationss and details are handed off to production / engineering in a timely manner.
  • Calculates through-put volumes, belt speeds, and capacities.
  • Spec conveyors and equipment based on customer’s need and application.

Qualifications

  • Degree: Bachelor of Science or Associate degree in Engineering / Design (or a combination of experience as defined by the job responsibilities in the above section.)
  • Years of experience needed for position: 2-3 years in project management, engineering and technical design preferably in the poultry industry.
  • Years of experience in lieu of education: 2-3 years in the specific job responsibilities
  • Specific skill sets necessary for the position: Auto Cad 2019 or later, Inventor 2019 or later, Microsoft Excel, Dynamics 365 Business Central. (FUTURE: Navisworks, Plant 3D, 3D Scanning)
  • Physical requirements: May be required to lift-up to 50 pounds of equipment.
  • Travel: Travel may be required to Customer sites (up to 75%).

The CMS product line includes automated breast deboning, chilling, cut-up, evisceration, further processing, hygiene, industrial washing, material handling/conveyors, metal detectors, slaughter/picking, water reuse/offal, and vacuum systems. Our capital equipment is also supported through replacement parts sales and an expert team of Service Technicians and project managers.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
