Our client, a national vegetable supplier in Canada, has been cultivating top-quality produce for over decades. Their mission is to deliver fresh, premium vegetables to consumers throughout North America. Responsibilities:
– 50% account management with existing grocery store clients
– 50% Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with new grocery chains
– Understand the complexities of selling into grocery stores
– Locate and engage with key decision-makers within grocery chains
– Achieve sales targets through a combination of hunting for new business and farming existing accounts
– Sales territory will be Toronto and surrounding areas, with daily commuting within the territory via automobile to client meetings. No overnight travel in the role.
Requirements:
– 1-4 years of experience selling into grocery chains
– Previous food sales experience preferred; however experience in related industries that sell into grocery stores – such as racking, cards, general home supply, or pharmaceuticals will also be considered
– Proven track record of hitting sales targets in prior roles
– Strong hunting skills for new business development
Compensation and Benefits:
– $80,000 base salary plus commission
– $120,000 On-Target Earnings (OTE)
– Car allowance and gas coverage
