Role Overview:

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for pitching advertising opportunities to local businesses, including restaurants, chefs, and store owners, with a focus on getting them featured in our Top 10 list. You’ll offer businesses the opportunity to promote their brand through both our hard copy magazine and online platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Prospect and Pitch Local Businesses: Identify and reach out to local businesses (restaurants, chefs, retailers, etc.) who would benefit from advertising in our magazine.

Sell Advertising Packages: Present and sell advertising packages for our Top 10 list, which includes both print and online features.

Upsell Premium Packages: Offer businesses the opportunity to enhance their brand presence by purchasing an interview, visual bio, and commercial filming. These videos will be shared on social media, amplifying their exposure and promoting their brand.

Maintain Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with business owners, helping them understand the value of advertising and video features.

Meet Sales Targets: Meet monthly and quarterly sales goals through effective prospecting, follow-up, and closing of deals.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in sales, advertising, or marketing (experience in the food, retail, or hospitality industry is a plus).

Strong communication and negotiation skills—comfortable with both cold calling and face-to-face meetings.

Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a passion for local businesses.

Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.

Creative mindset to identify ways in which businesses can make the most of their ad space and video features.

Compensation:

20% commission on all sales, with the potential for high earnings based on performance.
