Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products or services that meet their needs
- Engage with customers to understand their preferences and provide personalized recommendations
- Process sales transactions accurately using cash handling and cashiering techniques
- Manage cash registers, perform cash management duties, and ensure proper cash handling procedures
- Maintain knowledge of retail math to handle pricing, discounts, and inventory adjustments effectively
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required
- Basic math skills and proficiency with retail math concepts are essential for accurate transactions
- Familiarity with financial software or point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to handle cash handling, cashiering, and cash management responsibilities confidently
- Attention to detail and the ability to perform 10 key typing tasks efficiently
- Keeping sales floor merchandised and tidy
- Will need to be able to move furniture and appliances on the sales floor with assistance of dollie.
