Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary’s office is actively hiring for Sr Analyst, Safety Reporting to join the team. This position reports to the Manager, Safety Programs & Systems part of Pembina’s Occupational Health and Safety department.
The Senior Analyst is responsible for translating safety-related data into comprehensive reports and actionable insights that facilitate informed decision-making and enhance safety performance.
This role is designed for a high-performing individual with occupational health and safety acumen, along with strong analytical, data visualization, and reporting capabilities. You will develop reporting that helps the business understand what’s happening, why it matters, and where to focus, connecting safety performance to daily work activities, in support of a learning and prevention culture across the organization.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

- Lead enterprise safety reporting, including monthly scorecards, quarterly and annual board reporting, and other reporting deliverables;
- Design and deliver Power BI reporting and dashboards that provide clear, executive-ready insights and enable informed decision-making across the organization;
- Ensure data integrity through governance, validation, and quality assurance, delivering accurate, high-performing, and user-friendly reports with clear definitions and consistent metrics.
- Analyze safety data (including incidents, exposures, high-energy hazards, SIF/pSIF, and driver/telematics) to identify trends, risks, and actionable insights that inform decision-making and drive prevention and improvement;
- Support and manage safety classification frameworks (i.e., SCL model), ensuring consistency in event categorization and accurate reporting;
- Develop and advance leading and lagging indicators, ensuring metrics drive meaningful safety improvement;
- Support internal and external benchmarking to evaluate performance and inform strategy;
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and leverage technology (e.g., automation, AI) to enhance processes, improve efficiency, and improve data collection and reporting;
- Support and mentor team members in translating data into meaningful insights and applying reporting best practices;
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organization;
- Contribute to a team environment that values equity, inclusion, and diversity; and
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- A diploma or degree, or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred;
