Overview
We are seeking a skilled Roofing Mechanic to join our team. This role involves working on various roofing projects, ensuring high-quality installation and repair of roofing systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be adept at working with different materials and techniques. Attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work collaboratively on construction sites are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using various materials including Shingles BUR, Torch Modified, Cold Modified, EPDM, TPO and Coating Systems.
- Restore existing roofs by assessing damage and applying appropriate repair techniques.
- Work with various materials for cleaning, repairing and installing different types of roofing materials.
- Weld components as necessary to secure roofing elements.
- Removal of deteriorated membrane and insulation as needed before repair.
- Maintain a clean and safe construction site, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Ability to lift 50 plus pounds and climb up and down ladders.
Experience
- Proven experience in roofing mechanics or a related field is required.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety regulations is essential.
- Experience in flat roofing materials is a plus but not required.
- OSHA 10 Construction Certification required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary for successful project completion.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
