We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing roofing systems on residential buildings. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install roofing materials using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine project requirements
- Prepare roofing surfaces by removing old materials and performing necessary repairs or restoration work
- Install various roofing systems including shingles, metal panels, tile, or membrane roofing with precision
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols
- Seal joints and seams with caulking or other sealants to ensure waterproofing integrity
- Collaborate with team members on framing carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or other related tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while ensuring compliance with safety standards at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in roofing installation and repair on construction sites
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics, and heavy lifting techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication processes
- Familiarity with various roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, stucco, tile laying, or membrane systems
- Experience in related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry), masonry, plumbing or remodeling is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy physical tasks including lifting heavy materials safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and OSHA standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail in restoration or renovation projects
