Full job description
TNDC has immediate openings for Rock Truck Drivers. TNDC is looking for those who are committed to a safe work environment, practice safe work procedures and arriving for work on-time and ready for work!
Successful applicants will be required to work and stay in a remote camp setting during their entire shift. Work schedules may vary, depending on the position, and project.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the site supervisor, or designate, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
perform pre-shift and post-shift trip safety inspections and complete daily equipment reports
operate heavy equipment to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials
prepare working area and adhere to all job safety requirements prior to starting work, always keeping work sitesafe and free of hazards
assist in general labour and other duties as required
attend toolbox, safety and other meetings or discussions as required, participate in any other specified training
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
valid driver’s license required
valid Occupational First Aid (OFA) and WHMIS certificates preferred
proven commitment to safety, health and environmental standards
able to take direction, follow instructions, adapt to changing priorities and multi-task
strong work ethic with an ability to work independently with minimal supervision
strong oral and written communication skills and able to use diagnostics
a team player who works respectfully and cooperatively with others
Conditions of Employment
pass mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and fitness for work assessment
ability to lift/move up to 50lbs and maintain high levels of performance throughout duration of shift
Job Types: Fly-In/Fly-Out, Full-time
Schedule:
12 hour shift
14 days on and 14 days off
