Perinatal training opportunity at Surrey Memorial Hospital (SMH), located in Surrey, BC. Fraser Health offers specialty nursing
education
sponsorship to new applicants, including new graduates nurses, or currently registered Nurses as part of our ongoing shared responsibility for
professional development
and safe, competent, ethical care. Sponsorship for the Specialty Nursing
education
includes:
Tuition for required courses
Wages during the full time studies portion
Mandatory days
The BCIT – Perinatal Program – offers 3 intakes a year (Spring, Fall and Winter). The program is 24 weeks long (12 weeks online studies and 12 weeks full time studies format)
The FHE – Perinatal In house Program – offers 2-3 intakes a year. The program is about 14 weeks long in a full time studies format
Candidates accepting this training opportunity agree to remain with Fraser Health in NICU for at least 18 months subsequent to completing training. This will ensure that candidates are able to consolidate and apply their skills in the specialty area. Learn more about Specialty Nursing
