Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN or RN to join our healthcare team at the Somerset County Jail. 3 days- 2 12 hour days and 1 6 hour day totaling 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform patient assessments and document vital signs and medical histories accurately.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment plans.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in urgent care situations, providing basic life support when necessary.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of patient care practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with patient care processes and urgent care protocols.
- Solid understanding of human anatomy to assist in patient assessments.
- Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) effectively in emergency situations.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy is upheld.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
