Job Summary
The
Licensed Practical
is responsible for providing direct skilled client care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include following the plan of care, providing treatments, and working collaboratively with the members of the team to help meet positive client care outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provides direct patient care and delegations to registered HCA’s
Provides accurate, detailed, and timely documentation
Conducts ongoing assessments
Prepares, administers and appropriately documents actions taken specific to medications
Performs all skills, treatments, and procedures competently in accordance with the provincial scope of practice BCCN&M British Columbia.
Follows principles of infection control and Universal Precautions
Qualifications
Current certificate in CV format and resume
In excellent standing with BCCN&M of BC
Certified in CPR/AED Level C and Food Safe
Strong clinical skills
Negative TB test or chest x-ray
Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
Excellent customer service skills
