EmerDepot Medical Supplies is a fast-growing Canadian healthcare supplier serving hospitals, clinics, home care patients, and institutional clients across Ontario. We are expanding our retail operations and are looking for an experienced Retail Sales Associate – Home Health Care to join our team.
This is a high-responsibility role requiring hands-on experience in medical retail, funding programs, and direct patient support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with selection and fitting of home healthcare products
- Handle ODSP, ADP, IFHP, Veterans Affairs, and private insurance billing
- Manage direct billing, grant applications, and funding approvals
- Coordinate with case workers, occupational therapists (OTs), and discharge teams
- Support patients transitioning from hospitals, emergency departments, and clinics
- Provide product education and recommendations based on patient needs
- Process retail sales, orders, and follow-ups
- Maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and referral sources
Required Experience (Must-Have)
- Proven experience in home healthcare / medical supply retail
- Strong knowledge of:
- Hospital beds, walkers, mobility aids
- Compression stockings and orthopedic braces
- Ostomy supplies, catheters, incontinence products (diapers, underpads)
- Respiratory equipment including CPAP
- Hands-on experience with:
- ODSP, ADP, IFHP, Veterans billing, and insurance claims
- Direct billing platforms and documentation requirements
- Experience working with:
- Occupational therapists (OTs)
- Hospital discharge planners and emergency departments
- Social workers and case managers
