Retail Sales Associate/Baker/Barista Jobs in Red Deer at Sunworks Living Ltd.
Sunworks is Red Deer premier cafe & gift store located in downtown Red Deer and has been in business for 27 years. We are looking for one part time/3/4-time person. A successful candidate must first and foremost be able to multitask, be well adjusted, like people, be no drama, and have the personality to be aware of the surroundings — who is coming and going, the various stages of the tasks at hand. This is a multi-faceted position with a steep learning curve, from baking to the details of retail. This business is all about attention to detail, positive customer interactions, and quality products.
We are looking for someone that has some baking experience, barista experience, and retail experience. Although these are not necessary beyond the basics. You should be able to do things, like cut an onion, make cookies, complete transactions on a iPad accurately, and count cash.
You should know how to read a recipe, be available for permanent shifts, and be willing to jump in and do other things that are required by the company. If you are a energetic and hardworking person… you’d have an advantage. You should value organisation and tidiness, and dislike clutter. The successful candidate will participate in making buying decisions for the shop and handle some of the inventory management. You won’t be bored or have time to sit. We look forward to meeting you. You must be able to speak English as if it were your first language.
Your first assignment is to apply in person only, unless you are from out of town and moving to Red Deer.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Salary: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 34 per week
