Named for its red clay soil and large stones, the 38-acre Lincoln Lakeshore property was purchased in 2009 and is home to a newly opened hospitality centre and a locally-inspired restaurant. The 38 acre estate vineyard, farmed organically and bio-dynamically is perfect for maturing late-ripening varietals including Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Pinot Gris is also grown on the estate. Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay from the Limestone Vineyard rounds out the estate portfolio.
Position Summary
Redstone Winery & Tawse Winery are recruiting for Retail Sales Associate. This position is available in a part-time capacity winter season with the possibility of extending into the summer season on a more full-time basis. The successful candidate must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Providing efficient customer service to customers by assisting them with wine selection/food pairings
· Ensuring the store is well stocked and visually appealing to customers
· Performing store opening and closing procedures by securing the store and counting the daily cash sales at the end of the day
· Cleaning the store and polishing glassware on a daily basis
Position Requirements
· Must have a positive and outgoing attitude, along with strong customer service skills
· Clear and friendly communication skills
· Knowledge and passion for wine and the wine industry
· Ability to build a rapport with customers and promote products
· Smart Serve trained
· Sommelier/WSET certificate an asset
