Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, providing excellent service, and assisting with product sales in a dynamic retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and a focus on customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Operate POS systems for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain store displays and shelves to ensure attractive and organized presentation of products
- Provide product knowledge related to paint types and assistance with choosing the perfect paint colour, wallpaper or window coverings
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and organization
- Assist customers with bringing orders out to their vehicles if necessary
- Ensure a clean and organized sales floor, adhering to safety standards
- Engage with customers to promote products and any upcoming events
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally to ensure satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills in English
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends
- must be able to work alone when necessary or with a team member
- must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
