At Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS), we support Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans and their families with programs that enhance well-being.
The Role
As a deployed Retail Attendant, you will work six months overseas in a retail store serving CAF and partner nation personnel, improving morale and welfare.
Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service to CAF and partner nations.
Prepare and serve Tim Hortons beverages.
Handle cash and card transactions.
Organize store displays and restock inventory.
Assist with recreational activities and events to support morale.
Qualifications
Education, Certifications & Licenses
An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Valid driver’s licence (Province).
Canadian citizenship.
Valid Canadian passport.
Experience
Cash handling and point of sale system operations.
Food service preparation and portion standards.
Operation and maintenance of retail/food service equipment.
Ensuring product quality meets established standards.

Additional Qualifications Prior to Deployment
Completion of a health, dental, and psychosocial assessment.
Security screening.
Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Ability to walk, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy items.

Optional, considered for all positions.
Job Information
Position Type: Civilian deployment contracts 6‑month terms.
Hours:
Up to 56 hours per week, including weekdays and weekends.
Location:
Latvia.
Salary: $58,930 – $65,320 per year.
