Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Restaurant Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, hospitality, and customer relations within a fast-paced environment. Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Clover
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with sanitation standards
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality environments preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Clover and basic cashiering procedures
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques
- Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is a plus but not required
- Upselling skills to promote menu items and enhance guest experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
