East Tea Can is a progressive Middle Eastern restaurant concept, serving eclectic Middle Eastern mezza and grills in a casual full-service setup. Offering fun and exciting dishes from around the Middle East and northern Africa.
We are opening a new location in Toronto, at The Well, and looking for experienced servers and cashiers, that can demonstrate adequate knowledge and understanding of food service and new restaurant openings, with passion for hospitality and learning about the Middle Eastern cuisine.

Server Job Description:
The server is responsible for the overall dining experience of each guest. They are able to create a memorable and lasting impression whereby every guest cannot wait to return. Their passion for guest service is unparalleled.
Role of the Server
Be enthusiastic, professional and hospitable
Ensure every guest leaves wanting to return
Give the guest suggestions/recommendations for food & drinks based on their wants or needs
Possess a sincere attitude to be of service to others with a desire to succeed
Duties & Responsibilities:
Knowledge of East Tea Can including all products, menu’s and promotions
Table service; taking orders, answering menu and beverage inquiries, explaining daily features,
placing orders with kitchen while following all standards as it pertains to each task
Delivery of food & beverage to tables in the dining room
Processing bills and taking payment
Handling guest concerns with and without the support of the management team
Providing the highest quality of service at all times in all guest interactions
Clearing, setting, polishing and cleaning tables, glassware & utensils
Preparation and cleanliness of dining room & service stands before, after & during each service
Proper adherence to all cash handling procedures as outlined in company policies
Correct use of POS system, adhering to all company standards and policies
Competencies:

Ability to stay calm under pressure
Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and management.
Job Requirements:
Ability to prioritize and stay organized in a high-paced environment
Minimum of 1 year related serving experience
Fluency in English both written and verbal
Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
Must be able to carry and lift items weighing 20lbs
Must be able to stoop and bend
Must be able to stand and move for extended periods of time to continuously perform essential job
functions.

Pay: $16.75-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
