Three Rivers Electric is the electrical contracting division of iSolar, a family-owned Minnesota solar and electrical contractor based in Saint Paul Park (Electrical Contracting License #EA761814). We handle full residential electrical services, EV chargers, and small commercial electrical services in and around the Twin Cities — primarily Dakota, Washington, and Ramsey counties. We’re looking for an electrician who shows up on time, communicates clearly, explains the work and pricing in plain language, and leaves every homeowner glad they called us. What You’ll Do
You’ll run service calls and project work across the Twin Cities metro, quote jobs on-site through our HouseCall Pro app (pricing is provided for you in the app — no guesswork), complete the work efficiently, and deliver the kind of experience that keeps our reviews perfect.
A Day in the Field Includes
- Residential service, troubleshooting, and repair
- EV charger installations (a core part of this role)
- Panel upgrades and service changes
- Wiring and rewiring, circuit installation, and additions/remodels
- Device, fixture, and switchgear installation
- Code-compliant work to NEC and Minnesota standards
- Quoting jobs through HouseCall Pro and clearly walking customers through their options and pricing
- Working with our dispatcher/lead coordinator to schedule site visits, then planning your own install times — communicating those times with both the customer and the dispatcher so we never double-book
- Coordinating with the office to pull permits and schedule inspections
- Accurately estimating install time and drive time to and from each job
What We’re Looking For
- Active Minnesota Journeyman Electrician license (required)
- EV charger installation experience (required)
- Seasoned, hands-on residential experience — you can walk onto any job and get it done right
- Strong residential skill set: service work, troubleshooting, panel/service upgrades, wiring, fixtures, code compliance
- Accurate at quoting install time and drive time — dependable scheduling is a must
- Strong coordination and communication with our dispatcher, lead coordinator, office, and customers to keep the schedule running smoothly
- Familiar with pulling permits and scheduling inspections
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to guide and mentor apprentice electricians
- Outstanding customer service — friendly, professional, and able to explain work and pricing clearly and honestly
- Upbeat attitude — customers should be glad you showed up
- Comfortable with technology (smartphone/tablet apps like HouseCall Pro for quoting, scheduling, and invoicing)
- Fast, efficient, and detail-oriented — quality work without wasted time
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
Nice to Have (or We’ll Train You)
- Experience with battery backup systems, generators, or solar-related electrical connections — great if you have it, but we have primaries for this work and are happy to train the right person
- Commercial estimating experience — a plus as we expand into more commercial work, but not required
