Resident Manager – Westwood Area Jobs in Edmonton at Fett Investments
Fett Investments is a locally owned property management company in Edmonton, providing apartment units for the residents of Edmonton, Red Deer and Hinton for the past 25 years. Fett Investments is seeking to hire a mature and energetic couple for the role of Resident Manager at one of our properties in the Westwood community. We are seeking an ambassador for our company and its standards to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for our tenants.
The successful candidates are required to reside in the walk-up apartment building that they manage. This position is not full-time, but rather the successful individuals would be required to uphold company processes (ie. rent collection/building applications), be available for tenant inquiries as they arise, maintain a positive building atmosphere, and is required to maintain building cleanliness, accessibility and safety always. The schedule is somewhat flexible and could accommodate the individual maintaining work in another position outside of this.

Job Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the daily operations of your designated property, including rent collection, leasing applications while maintaining building accessibility, cleanliness and safety (including grass cutting and snow removal)
- Scheduling of moving in/out and related inspections
- Preparing suites for new incoming tenants
- Meeting prospective tenants for suite showings
- Completing and managing all resident related paperwork and files
- Ensuring any repairs or maintenance needs are communicated and promptly addressed
- Answering and responding to all phone calls, text messages and e-mails in a timely and professional manner
- Minimizing vacancy rates by securing qualified tenants
- Taking initiative to maintain the interior/exterior appearance of your property year round
- Additional duties, as required
Requirements:
- Must be a self-starting couple with strong time management skills
- Professional communicators who can relate to a variety of people
- Have basic knowledge of building maintenance and operation
- Ability to bend, push and pull as well as go up and down stairs
- Can lift up to 50 lbs
- Are available to work a flexible schedule, based on current demands
- Prior property/rental management experience is an asset
- Knowledge of the Alberta Residential Tenancy Act is an asset
- The successful applicants must be able to provide a clear, valid Police Information Check
Pay:
- reduced monthly rent rate of approximately $400 based on property size & number of building suites
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
