Position Description
We are seeking a post-doctoral research fellow with training in psychology/psychiatry, epidemiology, biostatistics, and/or neurosciences. On-going research in our group includes understanding the relationship of social-demographic determinants of health (e.g., marginalization, environmental exposures, gender diversity, race/ethnicity, sex) with childhood psychiatric disorders (e.g., ADHD, OCD, autism, mood, anxiety, tics), unpacking shared and distinct features (e.g., behavioural, cognitive, neural) of often comorbid psychiatric conditions, validation of new behavioural measures and novel interventions for brain-based disorders using virtual reality. Fellows could work with data from the Province of Ontario Neurodevelopmental Network (POND; clinic-based recruitement) and Spit for Science (population-based recruitment).
The fellowship is based in Neurosciences and Mental Health and the Department of Psychiatry, The Hospital for Sick Children under the supervision of Dr.Jennifer Crosbie (Lab). This is a one-year full-time position with the option of renewal for the second year conditional on successful completion of the first-year requirements. Start date is negotiable but ideally as soon as possible.

Conduct analyses to answer research questions relevant to child and adolescent mental health and cognition within the broader research program
Disseminate research and findings through presentations and peer-reviewed publications
Assist with grant writing and study design
Work in collaboration with a team of researchers and trainees
Mentor junior trainees
Here’s What You¿ll Need
Completed PhD and/or MD degree or under progress
Training in psychiatry or psychology, epidemiology, biostatistics
Experience in data analysis and analytics
Motivation and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong communications skills (oral and written)
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
