Zymeworks is proudly headquartered in our brand new, net-zero facility located in the vibrant Main St biotech hub of Vancouver, BC, with operations in Bellevue, WA, Dublin, Ireland, Singapore and the Bay Area.

Work RequirementThis role will be based out of our Vancouver office and is full-time onsite.

Key Responsibilities

Performs experiments following established protocols.

Applies knowledge of scientific methodologies in conducting data analyses.

Troubleshoots methods and suggests changes to methods.

Contributes to experimental design to advance therapeutic programs.

Documents raw and analyzed data and maintains inventory databases.

Independently interprets results and presents to team.

Prepares written reports and analyses of experiments.

Seeks to understand ongoing projects through extensive attention to scientific literature and internally generated data.

Assists in maintaining a clean, neat, organized and operational lab.

Conducts all activities in accordance with scientific standards, OH&S regulations and established policies and practices.

May co-author scientific papers.

Actively works to foster an environment of effective and collaborative working relationships amongst employees.

May train and/or supervise co-op students.

Education And Experience

Requires a BSc in a scientific discipline.

Skills And Abilities

Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a cross-functional team.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Good organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a high paced, fast changing environment.

Critical observation skills and strong statistical analysis capability.

Excellent oral, presentation, and scientific/technical writing skills.

Experience with mammalian cell culture and cell-based assays would be an asset.

Experience with assay development would be an asset.

Familiarity with some of the following lab techniques:

Flow cytometry

ELISA/MSD

High-content analysis

Immunological/co-culture assays

Reporter Gene Assays

Cell-separation

General knowledge of antibody structure/function

Mammalian tissue culture
